Semaraknya Piala AFF Suzuki Indonesia VS Laos semakin menggema di stadion gelora bung karno ini terjadi setelah pertandingan Indonesia Vs Laos berkesudahan dengan skor 6 – 0 sebuah hasil yang  meyakinkan buat timnas indonesia untuk lolos ke babak semifinal. Kesuksesan timnas indonesia meremukkan laos tak lepas dari strategi sang pelatih Riedl yang memasang formasi dalam pertandingan Indonesia Vs Laos sama saat melawan malaysia dengan permainan yang offensif irfan bachdim dkk tampil impresif dan trengginas.
Irfan Bachdim  pemain berdarah Belanda itu mencetak gol keempat Indonesia melawan Laos yang indah. Melalui kerja sama dengan tandemnya, Christian Gonzalez, mantan pemain Ajax itu membobol gawang Laos dengan tendangan kaki kanan yang terarah.Sebelumnya Indonesia unggul 3-0 ketika kapten firman Utina mencetak gol keduanya pada awal babak kedua. Indonesia unggul 2-0 atas Laos pada babak pertama pertandingan kedua penyisihan grup A piala AFF Suzuki cup 2010 di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Sabtu (4/12). Dua gol dipersembahkan oleh Firman Utina di menit ke-28 lewat tendangan penalti serta dari Muhammad Ridwan di menit ke-34.
